April 19, 2012 – Blue Hour at the Haithco Park

The ‘Blue Hour’ is a mostly short period of time direct before sunrise or after sunset. The name ‘Blue Hour’ comes from the blue sky captured by the camera. This characteristic blue is based on the fact that there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness as the sun is below the horizon.

I drove past the Haitcho Park on my home from work and have always wanted to capture the reflection from the pavilion – I figured a complete darkness is probably not as effective as the blue hour
