Weekly Photo Challenge: Summer – May 26, 2012

Ah, summer!  Long days filled children chasing dragonflies, collecting fireflies, walking by the beach, camping and myriads of things to do.  I believe that Michigan is one of the best places to spend summer.  The weather is usually not too hot and the lakes surrounding the state present many fun activities.

Different people associate summer differently, for me it is the smell of burning wood and the crackling of the bonfire.  No matter where I am and what the calendar says the season is, every time I smell the distinct smell of burning wood in the air, my mind always takes me back to a nice lazy summer day, when the possibilities are endless.

So, to summer – let’s get bonfires going.
