August 11, 2012 – Intelligent Design 2

I found this bird nest under a tree near tee box #1 at Hawk Hollow Golf Course in Bath, MI.  I was playing at Michigan Team Play Classic – similar to the one I played in Ohio (see April 13, 2012 – Road Trip) earlier in the year.  It is a very nice and challenging golf course and we had fun.

It was raining cats and dogs since yesterday – luckily the rain stopped a few minutes before the game started.  It is very possible that some strong wind or drenching rain dislodge this nest from the maple branch and fell down.  There was no egg in it, but as you can it – the nest is perfectly round and fit one golf ball perfectly.  It was so perfect that a guy though that it was a fake bird’s nest golf ball holder.  I put this on a low hanging branch just so that I can snap the photo.  This nest was definitely intelligently designed.
