September 1, 2012 – High ISO

This post is about an experiment – I have had my share of not paying enough attention to the ISO settings and on occasions, ruined some otherwise better pictures.  So, I decided to see how high of ISO I can get away with and still produce a half decent photo.  This panorama was taken at ISO 2500, F3.5 and 1/60th seconds – handheld.  The next step up at ISO 3200 yielded some ghastly pictures – not even fixable in Photoshop (no, I didn’t shoot in RAW and heard that RAW has more superior noise reduction capabilities).
