September 7, 2012 – Le Chateau Frontenac, Quebec

We have one day to spare before the craziness of the gigs begins tomorrow – so we took this opportunity to head our further east towards the olf city of Quebec.  We thought that the city of Montreal was old (the classic old buildings) and we were pleasantly surprised that the building in the old city of Quebec were even older and have more character.  The parking on the other hand, was a nightmare.  The city is so compact (designed for horses in mind) thus not too car friendly.  I almost gave up then decided to park quite a way away and walked up the city towards the citadel.

Along the way, we stumbled unto Le Chateau Frontenac – supposedly the most photograph building in the world.  I had no doubt – the building was magnificent and the view was to die for.  The view alone is worth three hours drive one way from Montreal to the old city of Quebec.

Before arriving at the old city of Quebec we stopped by at Montmorency Falls to check out the waterfalls.
