I have finished my “Steve Jobs” book last week and has begun reading “The Power of Habit” by Charles Duhigg. I don’t like my Blackberry as a phone because it keeps hanging up on calls and dialing some random numbers, but I love using it to read.
Reading about how habit forms somehow reminded me of a quote “a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.” No, this is the not the TV show. This idiom that basically means that your greatest strength is also determined by your greatest weakness thus the goal should always be to first and foremost, reduce your weakness. In a person or organization, the weakest link – left unchecked, will eventually cause the destruction of the strongest link. This similar to another saying by Benjamin Franklin ““A small leak can sink a great ship” So, start getting rid of your weakest links, take care of the small leaks and form some new good habits.
