November 16, 2012 – Shift & Tilt
Out of nowhere I decided that I really want to do a shift & tilt photo. (Shift & tilt refers to a very special and expensive lens to photograph some scenery, landscape or whatever and make it look like a miniature.) This effect can be achieved using Photoshop or some simple photo adjustment, so some newer cameras come pre-built with that function. I know my D7000 has then – I haven’t figured out my t3i yet. Anyway, rather than spending thousands of dollars for a lens that you may use once in a blue moon, Photoshop can achieve the result so much faster and cheaper. Since the result of the photo that I took today wasn’t what I expected, I went through my old photos and picked this one that I shot in Quebec September 7, 2012.
I love the first picture!
Thank you – I like the mystery and the fog however – it doesn’t really show the miniaturization as well.
