November 22, 2012 – The Road Is Long

This long road of the 401 (near Woodstock) reminds me of the song “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” by the Hollies, especially the beginning part of the song.  The road is long, with many a winding turn that leads us to who knows where.  Many a time we started a journey and as with journeys, they sometimes take some unexpected turns, something we have to take.  Some turns are pleasant and some are not, in the end (hopefully) they bring where where we need to be.   I am not big on predetermination, I do however believe in cause and effect.  Some effect are inevitable, however it is because of nature of the course.

Three years ago we started a journey on this Thanksgiving day.  We have many to be thankful for.  The journey provided a sense of direction [pun intended] and we are still on the road.  The road is still long and we are still not really sure where the journey will lead us.
