November 25, 2012 – Frenzy

The black Friday has turned into a black Saturday and black Sunday.  At the rate the shopping frenzy is going, they might as well call it the black November.  I can’t turn on the TV without hearing something about black Friday and the biggest irony of all is that there were no black Friday in Ontario.  Black Friday was purely an American invention.  The Canadians have Boxing day (which for a while I thought “why would anyone celebrate pugilistic behavior the day after Christmas” until I realized that the word boxing has nothing to do with two people in a ring trying to punch each other silly).  Anyway, it looks like the businesses in Ontario realized all the dollars flying south of the border at an alarming rate during this special day of frenzy and they started to take notice and prevent this great southern migration of the dollars.  So it looks like it was so successful they are calling the next several days after Friday – Black!

So if you look carefully, you can see all the cars and even some pedestrians just came from the shopping frenzy.  This would have been fine if it weren’t for the bone chilling cold day outside.
