Year 2 – January 12, 2013 – Unnatural Selection

2013_0112_S

We speak of natural selections, however we perform unnatural selection all the time.  We choose what plants or animals make it and what not.  We decide which to save and which to sacrifice. Like this towering tree for example.  The property that it was sitting on was recently cleared to make space for the soccer field expansion in my neighborhood earlier last year.  This is a very odd looking tree that basically just stand in the middle on a huge empty soccer field.  You can see it, but there is a small shed underneath it and I found the shed was distracting to the picture so I decided to remove it.  The Content Aware function in Photoshop is really amazing.
