Year 2 – March 28, 2013 – Guava

2013_0328_S

This is guava fruit.  I didn’t know it but it is native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America.  I grew up in Asia and had  a couple of guava tree in my backyard.  I remembered spending a lot of time on the tree.  For a while, I believed that I was one of the designated tree climber to pick good ripe guava.  I remembered that occasionally I had to try to beat the bats in picking good ones.  If I left ripe ones stays on the tree for too long, the bats would get it.  And that was a long long time ago.

I like this fruit and for some odd (or not) reasons, Kelly likes it too.
