Year 2 – May 5, 2013 Forsythia

2013_0505_S

I struck out yesterday and couldn’t identify one of the tree by my house.  Here is a nice flowering bush that is very prevalent during spring.  I see this nice yellow flower and with my some sleuthing on the internet I found out that this is called Forsythia.

Here is what wikipedia say about it “Forsythia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Oleaceae (olive family). There are about 11 species, mostly native to eastern Asia, but one native to southeastern Europe. The common name is also forsythia; the genus is named after William Forsyth”
