Year 2 – May 18. 2013 Garlic Mustard

It is quite a nice day so decided to ride our bikes (yes, bike as in bicycle) at the Riverwood Park’s Culham Trail in Mississauga.  The one thing about Mississauga is that whenever the weather is nice, people flock to the parks and doing all the outdoors stuff and we are no different.  Culham trail is one of the nicest trail in Mississauga along side Credit River.  People fish, jog, run, bikes and barbeque.

Since the theme this month is May flowers, here is a photo of Garlic Mustard (Alliaria officinalis) is an invasive and noxious weed  that spreads rapidly and effectively blocks sunlight and uses nutrients from which other wildflowers.  When I took this picture, I didn’t see that many bugs and creepy crawlies around the flower and as I was processing the photo I realized that all the dark part on the flowers are critters.

BTW – I think I got picture of Kelly’s texting while biking here 😉  She forgot to look at the great scenery surrounding her.
