Year 3 – August 9, 2014 ‘Twas The Night Before Supermoon

‘Twas The Night Before supermoon, when all through the west
All photographers are waiting, all without a rest
The cameras are set, all eyes towards to skies
In hope that the supermoon will soon rise

The aperture is set, shutter confirmed and ISO checked
Some by the water, some by the park, I was on my deck
I checked the weather to make sure no clouds are in sight
For I would really love to see the bright moonlight

And there it rises, through the horizon over the there
I sprang to my feet, ever ready, fingers on trigger
The moon on the breast of the dimming tall tree
Gave a feeling of calm certainty that the supermoon is here

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a slowly rising supermoon, larger than ever
Away I snapped and snapped, fast as flash
And yes, I learned my lesson and use no flash

Pleased at myself time to set the camera away
On to tomorrow it will be another day

Year 2 – August 9, 2013 Bellevue Park

Bellevue looks like a nice place to live so we spend one more day checking out the neighborhood and apartment hunting.  We could not believe how difficult it is to find an affordable apartment in this town.  We eventually did find a place, it is not immediate but at least it will be there when we are ready.
